Canfield Fair Travel Information

Travel to Fairgrounds by Fair Shuttle Bus

***WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS***

Be at Canfield High School’s front entrance before Noon. Band members and family members/guests can ride the shuttle bus from Canfield High School to Gate 5 at the Fairgrounds. Gate 5 is located on Route 46 across from the Extension Office and Ohio State Highway Patrol. Wear your Band shirt and you and your family/guests will receive free admission to the Fair. A truck will transport all large instruments from the high school directly to the Western Reserve Village. The truck will be at the school to load instruments from 12:00 to 12:30 PM. Following the concert you can ride the shuttle back to Canfield High School. If you plan on going back to the Fair make sure you get your hand stamped on the way out of the Fair for free re-admission. The shuttle will run every 15 minutes from Noon until Midnight. If you have a large instrument that is transported by truck, you must return to the high school immediately following the concert to retrieve your instrument. Make sure your instrument case has an identification tag clearly marked with your name. You can leave your car at Canfield High School and return to the Fair by shuttle, and re-enter for free with your hand stamp. The shuttle buses also serve the general public. There will not be a specific band bus. Make sure you arrive at the high school by noon when the buses begin their runs.

Travel to Fair by car

If you choose to travel to the fairgrounds by car, there will be NO reserved parking for the band and you will need to arrive in enough time to find parking and walk to the concert location.

There may be parking available on a first come basis at the Mill Creek Metroparks Farm, but none is being reserved for the band and the fair board does not have an arrangement with the park this year. The attendants there may allow band members to park on the gravel side if space is available, but do not expect to be allowed. Sunday is the busiest day of the Fair and we suggest you go before noon if you are not taking the bus. Also, if you are coming up from the south do not be surprised if you are routed to the parking lots on the south end of the Fairgrounds.

Additional Information:

Gate attendants have all been informed that anyone wearing a band shirt AND family members/friends who are accompanying them are to be admitted free of charge. If you are charged, speak with Timm Schreiber about receiving a refund.

Expect heavy traffic on Route 46, especially around Noon. If you are coming from the South, use an alternate route to the high school, or come early enough to park at the Fairgrounds.

We are expecting great weather, so plan for a great day at the Fair! If you have any questions you can reply to the band Remind message.
