Canfield Fair Concert

Sunday, September 3, 2017 -
2:00pm to 3:00pm

UPDATE 9/2/2017: No Reserved Parking, Take the Shuttle

Due to the weather today, attendance at the fair was very low, so a an especially large crowd is expected for Sunday. As a result, there will be NO reserved parking at the fairgrounds for band members. Members are encouraged to take the shuttle from the high school (see details below).

Please note if you saw these instructions earlier, originally a small section of reserved parking was planned for the band but that is no longer the case. Anyone parking at the fairgrounds will be directed to general parking. There will be no reserved parking and the lot across from the village at the Mill Creek Park farm is NOT available as it has been in previous years.

UPDATE 8/23/2017: Travel, Parking, and Fair Entry

Travel to Fairgrounds by Fair Shuttle Bus

Be at Canfield High School's front entrance by Noon. Band members and family members/guests can ride the shuttle bus from Canfield High School to Gate 5 at the Fairgrounds. Gate 5 is located on Route 46 across from the Extension Office and Ohio State Highway Patrol (see map). Wear your Band shirt and black pants and you and your family/guests will receive free admission to the Fair. A truck will transport all large instruments from the high school directly to the Western Reserve Village. Following the concert you can ride the shuttle back to Canfield High School. The shuttle will run every 15 minutes from Noon until Midnight. If you have a large instrument that is transported by truck, you must return to the high school immediately following the concert to retrieve your instrument. Make sure your instrument case has an identification tag clearly marked with your name. You can leave your car at Canfield High School and return to the Fair by shuttle, and re-enter for free with your hand stamp. The shuttle busses also serve the general public. There will not be a specific band bus. Make sure you arrive at the high school by noon when the busses begin their runs.

Additional Information:

Expect heavy traffic on Route 46, especially around Noon. If you are coming from the South, use an alternate route to the high school.

No parking will be available at the Mill Creek Metroparks Farm and no reserved parking will be available at the fairgrounds.

This year at Western Reserve Village we will be performing in front of the church, in the shade. Village trustees will provide water.

Thanks to Timm Schrieber for all of your help planning the event.

We are expecting great weather, so plan for a great day at the Fair!

If you have any questions you can reply to the band text link.

See you on September 3rd.
